New forum member introduces himself: "My name is Meik Bartoschek and my wife Birgit and I own Four Paws Kingdom Campground - the first and only dog dedicated campground in the US..."My name is Meik Bartoschek and my wife Birgit and I own Four Paws Kingdom Campground - the first and only dog dedicated campground in the US.
We are located in Rutherfordton, NC and we are in our second year of operation. We have built this park from scratch (as a labor of love/betting our life savings in the process) and opened for operation in May 2004.
We have traveled and camped ourselves for many years with our two Corgis and we have compiled a list of things we liked and disliked until we were convinced that it would be time to built a campground unlike any other before.
We think it's a great idea to let owners participate in this forum because there are always two sides of a story and it's also important to understand, that in the campground industry as in any other industry, there are those who are primarily in it to make money, and those who still have some values and integrity in their work.
We think of ourselves as a "mom, pop and dog place" with all it's facettes and our campers love the fact that they have close contact to us, our dogs and our day to day campground life.
