:) Funny. I would do that, too if I were traveling alone. Why don't you write a blog about what you'd like to do, and ask for suggestions, maybe some groups that travel together for your first few trips? Maybe you can find someone to help you get started...
Also, if you call ahead to your first campground, park owners are usually very glad to help "newbies" hook up, park, etc.
