We stayed at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground this past weekend. While there they dropped the discount for Happy Camper members and many other clubs discounts also. I was surprised since the campground was pretty near full the whole stay. They are adding 18 more hookups to the campground in the very near future. It is a pleasant place to stay and the owners are super friendly folks who went out of their way to see that we enjoyed ourselves. I will stay there again even without the discount although there is another park nearby that I really should check out first.

Hi guys: Glad you enjoyed the park. Next time, we do have another park in Carlsbad, Windmill RV Park, which offers the 50% off, so maybe you can try it out, too. Thanks for the review! Anne

We showed up at the Bonito Sundance RV Park in Ruidoso NM last night and noticed a sign on the door, saying "If you're rude, go away", or something to that effect. The owner seemed to be preoccupied with some project in back, but appeared to spare us some of his time to check in. . When I mentiond the Happy Camper rate, he said "All those spots are taken". I was laughing as I said " That's what they all say". At that point he handed me the registration slip, saying "You can't stay here tonight" and walked away. We were dombfounded and had to leave. WOW! We were absolutely blown away by this treatment. Now I realize not all campground owners don't have his problem, but it does beg the question of just how valuable my membership might be....or for that matter membership in ANY camping club. These products are simply used by owners as marketing tools and some never intend to be fair and honest with their customers. Bottom line...I'd avoid this place if you are ever in the Ruidoso area. There are lots of other parks real close by.

We stayed at the High Desert RV Park in Albuquerque in July and then in August on our return trip. Good pull-throughs, but all gravel with little to none for shade. Easy people at the desk, very helpful on where to go, etc. Price was the best for the area, no cable so your dish or regular antenna comes into play. Regular t.v. only has 6-7 channels. Would stay there again as it's close to the freeway and easy on and off to go east or west.
