"We have stayed in 3 HC parks since we joined in June, and have enjoyed all our stays. Stayed at Blackhawk Valley in Rockford IL; Rush No More in Sturgis SD, Hazen Bay Recreation Area in ND.

We use HC in conjunction with our other memberships (Thousand Trails and RPI). As fulltimers on a limited budget, it is essential for us to minimize costs. There is no way we could RV if we had to pay full price for campgrounds." ~Jill Ferrer

Been to a great campground lately?  Is there one that could use improvement?  Let's talk about YOUR campground experiences here.

*** Please remember:  Many campgrounds are also members of our network.  They are here because they care what RVers want - so if you've had a bad experience, please do not use this forum to "bash" the campground - simply tell us what could be improved.  This will help campground operators serve you better.

That is correct... The above list is updated for 2007, and Whispering Palms is not listed there.

The web site is updated daily, any time we get a change... and we'll be announcing the new guide on its arrival in January :)

I appreciate your taking time to give us a heads-up if someone has dropped that we don't know about :)

Anne

Rancho Verde RV Park at Camp Verde, AZ is far enough from the interstate to eliminate the road noise. It is a very quaint family run park without all the frills of the high profile places. The sites are on two levels with the smallest one located on Beaver Creek on the lower level. The upper level is like a big horseshoe. The sites are laid out for easy access to all utilities. You get a FHU 50 amp site with free wi-fi - excellent reception throughout the park - for $27.00 per night ($25.00 for 30 amps). A little high but there are no add ons so you can recover a little bit of that by using electricity to heat your rig - still cool here at night. Local TV reception with the bat antenna is very good with all the major networks being very clear. We got a very strong signal with our dish on the first try. Super clean restrooms with push button combinations. Laundry room is fully stocked with relaxing chairs, three large washers and dryers, a nice folding table with cloths hang-up areas on both ends. Because we are on 50 amps we will use our own. This seems to be a very popular place for those going north but not wanting to go all the way yet. They are just getting away from the 80-90* temperatures in lower AZ or other places getting hot already.

The Grand Canyon Railway RV Park - Williams, AZ The web page below just about says it all. An outstanding park for a short term visit to the Williams, AZ area and very easy access to all the Grand Canyon amenities. We are so level all we had to do was stabilize the trailer as we did not want to disconnect. We highly recommend one of the package deals. The train ride takes all the worry out of having to drive up to the rim and then find parking. Once off the train there are free shuttle busses going everywhere.
