My father had a passion for barbecuing. What's more, he had a great talent for it, and was good enough to share his knowledge with my brother and I. Dad passed away a few years ago and among some of his personal treasures, was a voluminous collection of recipes which we'll be going through for years to come. One marinade recipe I came across a few weeks sounded quite interesting and decided to try it out.
We weren't disappointed...
Smoked Barbecue Pork Ribs With Molasses:
1 5-lb rack of pork ribs (baby back ribs work best).
1/3 cup of red wine vinegar.
1/4 cup of soy sauce.
1/3 cup of Dijon mustard.
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
A dash or two of hot pepper sauce.
Mix thoroughly, then add 1/3 cup of molasses. Pour into a large zip-lock bag along with ribs and let marinade for 24 hours.
Then, fire up that grill or smoker and have at it...
Thanks Pop,
Barry
