"We have stayed in 3 HC parks since we joined in June, and have enjoyed all our stays. Stayed at Blackhawk Valley in Rockford IL; Rush No More in Sturgis SD, Hazen Bay Recreation Area in ND.

We use HC in conjunction with our other memberships (Thousand Trails and RPI). As fulltimers on a limited budget, it is essential for us to minimize costs. There is no way we could RV if we had to pay full price for campgrounds." ~Jill Ferrer

We got stuck in a sand Quarry. We followed the arrow pointing to the campground. I guess it was pointing in the wrong direction. We had a 31 foot class A motor home towing a Jeep wrangler. We followed the road till it came to a dead end.  Well we had to do a uee and it was a sand quarry. Both the motor home and the jeep were stuck. We unhitched the Jeep and I dug that out with a small garden shovel,  then the motor home. All the while the workers are standing their laughing. We were quite embarrassed. Well anyway make sure you carry a good size shovel

LOL! Did a similar thing in Arizona once. Followed the signs to the "old gold mine" and ended up leaving the gravel road and traveling over basically dessert until I hung up on the peak of a hill. I had to bounce the vehicle untill the rear tires grabbed enough to back me off again!
