I confess that I am an 'elevator music' fan. My rig is equiped with XM radio and I turn in to 'the Blend', 'Heart', classical, 'movie soundtracks', and 'broadway music'. I am a sucker for radio plays and those old fashioned 'serials'.

I like science fiction and horror books. My three favorite books (those that I have re-read several times) are "The Stand". "Seven Days in May", and "Fail Safe".

I have traveled to Europe 3 times and found Great Britain the most enjoyable country. Traveled to Alaska twice--once via cruise ship and once via road trip--and enjoyed road trip more. Each summer I have tried to take a road trip (thank goodness for a teacher's long summer vacations) and have enjoyed them all! My goal for RVing is to see the country with particular emphasis on small towns and old fashioned settings!

I have never had a trip that I couldn't find some redeeming attribute from--but I will confess that I have sworn off of airline travel. The hassle, the lack of consideration for the customer (i.e. us) by the airlines, and the ridiculous costs have all convinced me that if it's worth getting to, I'd rather just drive there!
