Mysteries, police procedurals, thrillers.

Quiet out of the way places. Small towns with friendly people. The vast areas of Arizona's deserts. Mountains anywhere. Oceans. Lakes. Pretty much wherever we are at the moment.

Worst? Some are better than others, but all are a learning process.

My husband Denny and I have been on the road since September of 1998. We've gone through two motorhomes and we're on our second fifth-wheel since 1993.

We're now traveling with a gray and white domestic shorthaired cat named Patches who likes to take walks on a leash. We picked her out of a litter at an animal shelter in Alabama and like to say she meows with a Southern drawl. Since she was so small when we got her, she travels well and enjoys exploring each new campground.

We're not rush, rush people. We travel about 150-250 miles between campgrounds, staying one to two weeks at a time. You see, we have all the time in the world now so we take the time to savor the moment.
