""Hi all! I joined the Happy Camper Club last year right before our annual June vacation down south and have never regretted it! We drove from Connecticut down to North Carolina's Casino and used Happy Camper Camps the whole way down and back up. They were all pretty nice and the people were just awesome! Can't wait to go this year. " ~Kim

My husband Bigdan and I have been married 36 yrs. I taught pre-school,3-4 year olds, and my husband retires in 2008, and we can't wait to RV fulltime. Our home base will be Rexburg, Idaho. We bought our Alfa Ideal fifth wheel in AZ in Jan,2007 and drove it back to CA. in Feb. We are going to go out as often as we can.
We are thinking about moving into our RV before he retires.Any suggestions?

Carlsbad(southern CA) Shelter Cove (northern CA),
Any place in Utah, but the Lagoon RV park in Farmington, Utah is a great place to take kids. Any place in Idaho, but we love Rexburg where we bought our retirement home 2 years ago.
Pismo Coast Village, CA is another place to take kids.

Our worst trip was to Oceanside in Feb. We had made reservations to stay at Catalina RV park and the only spot they had was 8ft wide and we need 16 plus to open our slides. To leave, there was only one way out and the road was so narrow our tinted windows were scraped by bushes. This was an old mobile park with a couple of empty spots that they rent out. It was a holiday weekend and luckly we finally found the last spot in a great rv park called Paradise RV Park.

Gardening, painting, scrapbooking,taking pictures,

Hi Lynne:

The site is www.vegan-for-life.com

Unfortunately, no good news. Bob passed away on September 20, and I am just now coming out of my fog enough to answer messages and get back to work. He died in a wonderful way, though, in his own bed, surrounded by all of us who love him. It was very hard, but I feel very much at peace with it. Hope you are well...

Hi Littlelynee!

We are going to have to get together sometime when we start on the road next summer. We are so close to you! My hubby is also retiring next summer and we will start RVing across the US like you all are going to do. We are down here in Salt Lake at the Koa for now.

I tried to write you a long note back awhile and something happened to it – lost it completely. That website is not very easy to use.

We have so much in common I see, from music to being teachers. We are LDS, hope that is not a turnoff. We would love to someday be at the same RV park and get to meet you. We just joined Camperwold, which is a member only organization down in Utah and is affiliated with RPI and Coast to Coast, do you know any of those? We are moving this week out to one of their luxury RV parks for the summer.

I am interested in learning to do simple quilting, modified soap making (not from scratch) and embroidery, machine and hand. I have a Babylock Asante computerized embroidery machine that my hubby got me last fall. I swear he's into it as much as I am. If you don't think that is funny – a big guy like him pouring over the Internet shopping for embroidery patterns for our machine, it's a riot. He is actually planning on trying a wolf design (his fave) on an old denim jacket. I am not so much into that as into sewing.

We have a nice sewing table he got for me but I actually am lazy and use the kitchen table when I get started on project. I am collecting a little fabric to try to make a table runner. It's not work for me, but fun. I have mostly been sewing clothes for me, but made an embroidered apron for a new daughter in law.

I also love photography as a hobby, thus my moniker. I love taking scenery photos and outdoors ones. I am NOT happy to be in front of the camera, as you can see I am "weight challenged." I am losing weight and now that I had my knee surgery I plan to be able to lose more. Why did you think total knee replacement was a "pain"? Did you have a bad experience?

My hubby William works for Dell Computers as an online tech support person. He was a senior computer engineer in Denver for EMC square corp and then worked as top secret security for Pinkerton here and in MN. We've moved about 8 times in the six years we've been married, and love moving around, now that we have gone to full time Rving. Sold two homes to do that.

Tell me about yourself, Lynee and about your hobbies. We also like to read, mainly science fiction. I don't read much compared to my hubby. I love watching TV shows, craft shows and CSI kind of shows. Pretty boring, isn't it? I retired from teaching before I really got into it full time as a dedicated classroom teacher. Been subbing a lot these last few years. Just didn't have the health to do full time and put up with all the kiddies.

Looking forward to hearing from you both. You can write me directly at :

Hi!

I saw your post about your Alpha. I've heard all good things, too. That fella must have gotten a lemon :(
